Arts and Crafts Courses Fri 30 Nov - Sun 16 Dec

  • Arts

Welcome to our Autumn-into-Winter arts and crafts courses. All are welcome - no experience necessary.

Working with the hands with crafts or painting can help those who suffer from anxiety, depression or chronic pain, experts say. It can also improve hand-eye coordination, ease stress, increase happiness and protect the brain from damage caused by aging. Neuroscientists are beginning to see how finely detailed work like embroidery induce a natural state of “zen” or mindfulness. At times of economic stress and social upheaval, people tend towards doing craftwork. Creating something original of our own makes us feel good. Come and learn a new skill and have fun in the process!
