Drawing in Charcoal - Nigel Westaway Fri 13 Jul - Thu 13 Jul

  • Arts

Ever get frustrated drawing in pencil? This is an opportunity to work on a larger scale, with fluid movements that can come from the whole arm as well as the fingers, using the swift, flexible media of graphite sticks and charcoal. You’ll be introduced to a range of techniques, subject matter and approaches and the emphasis will be less on accuracy and more on discovering an open and natural way of working. Come along and surprise yourself!

Nigel Westaway recently completed four years fine art study and is now a practising artist in Stroud. One of his sculptures is in the Hawkwood stairwell. He brings his drawing skills combined with many years experience of group training to this workshop to create an environment in which you can experiment with new ways of working
