Masks - Using and Making
Join an immersive experience into the art and craft of mask design, making and using. During the week you will design and make your own mask as well as explore the dynamics of the seven planets – archetypes imbued with rich mythology and contemporary relevance.
Participants will learn the art and craft of mask design, from drawing and mauqettes. This will include making a mould from silicon rubber with a plaster matrix, and creating a mask which is strong, flexible and fit for use in various settings.
The work will have applications for theatre, education and therapeutic contexts. No experience is necessary.
