Soulscapes Painting Day Sun 24 Jun

  • Arts

Soulscapes is a method of painting spontaneously and then seeing what images are revealed. No artistic training or skills are necessary for this technique, just a willingness and an open mind. The four stages in this process are as follows:

Application: Apply the paint boldly to the paper, without thinking about it, just enjoying the colours, shapes and textures your hand is making.

Reflection: By standing back and gazing at your painting recognizable images start to appear.

Clarification: This is a delicate process of highlighting the images you see without spoiling them.

Story: When your painting is finished its time to understand its message to you.

Biography:

Herewood, after becoming disillusioned with the commercialism of the art world, discovered a soulful way of expressing his true nature through painting when he spent 14 years in a spiritual, artistic and environmental community. This has formed the basis of his artistic expression ever since.
