Chris Head has established himself as one of the UK's leading comedy coaches and has nearly twenty years’ experience as a director of live comedy. Practically every night of the week there is a comedian on stage somewhere putting his ideas, direction and training into practice.

As director he has worked with BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz, Festival of the Spoken Nerd and the legendary Fenella Fielding. His directing work has been seen in London (Bloomsbury Theatre, Soho Theatre, Theatre Royal etc), Edinburgh Fringe (Pleasance, Assembly, Underbelly, Gilded Balloon), Melbourne Comedy Festival, Amsterdam and more.

Testing Mrs Patterson a short comic film he co-scripted with Barry Ferns was screened at the LA Shorts Comedy Film Festival and many others. He has written comedy sketches for TV & radio including for Radio 4's Bearded Ladies, No Limit on Sky and the E4 sketch show School of Comedy and for many live sketch shows - including the notorious Edinburgh Fringe hit This Sketch Show Belongs to Lionel Richie and The Leisure Virus of which Carlton TV commissioned a TV pilot script.

Alongside his core comedy work, he has developed a unique training programme of Standup Communication Tools to apply comedians' techniques in corporate and business contexts. Clients have included Channel 4, Google, BNP Paribas, UBS, Alphasites, The Mill and advertising agencies Lida and BBH. His coaching style is analytical, clear, warm and inspiring – and highly practical.

And he co-founded Silver Comedy, the comedy training and activities company for older people. Silver Comedy deliver highly regarded specialised work with people with dementia and run the Silver Stand-up of the Year Awards with the Leicester Comedy Festival.
