This course offers a fun and creative introduction to clowning. This interactive weekend begins with gentle warm up exercises, using the breath, voice and mindful movement. We will
cultivate the practice of presence and stillness and explore a range of emotions through mime, play, improvisation, mindfulness and dance. The weekend gives the opportunity to
practise clowning individually, in pairs and in small groups.

Reuben Kay studied at the Fool at Heart School of Sacred Clowning under Didier Danthois; including a three year course The Sacred Clown as Healer (1996-98). He now runs his own sacred clown workshops and for 20 years, he has performed widely as a mime clown.
Registration: Friday between 4pm - 6pm. Course begins with supper at 6.30pm and ends with tea on Sunday at 4.00pm.Participants please bring loose, comfortable clothes and a red nose if you have one. Bring outdoor clothes and footwear if you wish to enjoy Hawkwood’s beautiful grounds.
