Our Intelligent Body - Mari Winkelman

Our Intelligent Body - Mari Winkelman Sat 13 May

  • Sustainability

Bring your deepest questions for a retreat from your routine, to consciously enter the world of your body sensations. By engaging in attentive movement practices and exploring your anatomy experientially (with reference to your own body), you will tune into your embodied intelligence.

Informed by Linda Hartley’s integrative bodymind teachings and Mari’s practice as a therapist, you will tune into the channel of interoception – the barometer of your body’s life support; and proprioception – your body’s movement orientation system. If this appeals, and you are drawn to engaging with yourself in authenticity, compassion and nurture this day is for you!

'In coming into our body we become connected to our greater home, the earth;' - Linda Hartley 1995

£70 including lunch and refreshments

Arrival 9.00-9.30am. Course runs 9.30am-5.00pm

Mari Winkelman has trained and works as an Integrative Counsellor and Body and Movement Therapist in Stroud, facilitating individual and group processes in embodiment and movement. She runs regular Living Body Movement groups and is repeatedly enthused and encouraged by witnessing people being reminded of the value of returning to their bodies for insight and nourishment.

“An opportunity to go beyond the knowing of my mind and into the knowing of my body. Mari creates a peaceful space in which I can connect and be with my embodied experience. This work is supporting the changes in my life enabling the integration of these changes in myself at a deep level.”. ~ PT, session participant

“Through journeying with Mari’s ‘Finding home in your body’ work I have been opened to healing, presence and peace. In her facilitating I find gentleness, depth and potency and wish that everyone could experience this great way of awakening to our innate inner wisdom.” ~ EK, session participant.
