"To discover your mission and put it into action – instead of worrying on the sidelines – is to find peace of mind and a heart full of love.“ - Scilla Elworthy, Founder of Peace Direct, a charity supporting local peace-builders in conflict areas and co-founder of Rising Women Rising World. Her TED talk on non violence has been viewed by over 900,000 people. (More on Rising Women, Rising World below).
You don't have to be a leader or an activist, you don't even have to be a woman!
Just bring your open mind and heart. The intention is to raise our consciousness, bringing the Feminine into balance with the Masculine. Men are very welcome. In fact, women are encouraged to bring a man along to redress the balance!
The first half of this year we worked with Scilla Elworthy's brilliant book Pioneering the Possible: Awakened Leadership for a World that Works.
This autumn our theme is: How to become a wise Elder Please bring a reasonably brief example of writing that inspired you on this theme, eg a poem, song, quote or paragraph from a book. We will use these contributions as a starting point for our discussion.
Each evening is an open conversation, like a "Salon".The space is held by Katie Lloyd-Nunn, Hawkwood Centre for Future Thinking programme manager.
By donation £5-£10. We will meet in the Sitting Room 6.45pm for 7.00pm- 9.00pm
“I felt warmed and supported by our evening in conversation.” Julie
