Ayurveda for the Heart and Mind
We will introduce the basic principles of Ayurveda and the subtle anatomy of the heart and mind. We will explore our own mental and emotional constitutions and discover how the tools of Ayurveda can help us to cultivate peace, joy and balance. We will look at the importance of daily practices and the role of food, herbs, essential oils, meditation, pranayama and the natural world.
We will explore in depth how we can experience more sattva—clarity, peace, and emotional balance—within ourselves and in our relationships. Weather permitting, we will spend a part of the day outside. We’ll leave with a deeper understanding of ourselves and with the momentum to integrate these practices and principles into our lives.

Herbalist, Ayurvedic practitioner, author, lecturer and gardener Anne McIntyre has lived and worked in the Cotswolds for more than three decades. Based in Great Rissington, Anne runs busy clinics treating patients with her own blend of herbal medicine and Ayurvedic practice, as well as teaching popular foraging and wild medicine courses locally and abroad.
As one of the few Ayurvedic practitioners in the country Anne identified the need for an easily accessible, yet in depth, introduction to Ayurveda. This led to her exciting online Ayurveda course - www.learnlivingayurveda.com, designed as a next step for people wanting to take their knowledge of Ayurveda further to benefit their lives or their practices.
Arrival 4.00-6.00pm on Friday. Course begins with supper together on Friday followed by introductory session. Course ends with tea and cake at 4.00pm on Sunday, followed by departure.
