Buddhism is increasingly well known in the West. This introductory workshop covers the key Buddhist concepts its origins, ethical foundation and enlightenment – the goal of the Buddhist path. You will have the opportunity to experience a variety of simple meditative exercises. This course maybe taken in conjunction with “Mindfulness Meditation” (443) on Sunday.

Preston, John worked for many years as a senior Social Services manager, counsellor and lecturer in adult education. For five years he trained as a monk at a Buddhist meditation monastery. Returning to lay-life he now teaches meditation as an entirely secular practice promoting personal growth.
