‘When our mind is steady, our vision is clear and our heart is soft we can begin to see the world around us as it really is’.
Contemplative photography offers participants an approach to quieten and still the mind through walking and sitting meditation practices before immersing themselves creatively in the idyllic landscape at Hawkwood. Session time will be spent developing and practising camera skills alongside considerable time in nature capturing images. This course is intended for people who have already attended a course with Nikki Simpson either at Hawkwood or elsewhere. For more information, please contact Nikki via email: email@example.com
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please bring digital camera, card reader, cable, spare battery and laptop and outdoor clothes and footwear. This is an outdoor course and requires a reasonable level of mobility on Hawkwood’s uneven site
A recent participant commented: Belated but heartfelt thanks for Monday's course. I loved it and got so much out this very inspiring day. The whole approach of contemplative photography resonates with me at a deep level - bringing meditation and creativity together. The workshop was very inspirational and I have noticed that with photographs I took later in the week were much more considered - I slowed down and really looked before taking a shot .
