A meditative crafts process
Generations of smiths and coppersmiths have dedicated their work to the search for the One Perfect All-Transcending Sound. Ton Akkermans is aligned to this tradition. Under his friendly, professional supervision you will learn the technique of forging and of listening and attunement with the vibrations of different metals. The rhythm of metal work, the heat of the forge and the alchemical process of shaping your own instrument in an outdoor studio offer a unique combination of physical and spiritual engagement.

Tutor Information:
Akkermans, Ton is a gifted blacksmith from Holland. He recalls past lives creating singing bowls and metal instruments in ancient Tibet and has dedicated his life to making healing instruments for this time and to sharing his skills with others. He is assisted during the weekend and at the concert by his partner Carolina Schomper, a dancer, artist and energy worker. ton@be-foundation.com
