Japanese Embroidery Study Day, Course no 332

Sunday, 19 Aug 2012 - Sunday, 19 Aug 2012

Japanese Embroidery Study Day

Japanese Embroidery Special Summer Event

This unique and beautiful type of Japanese embroidery is an early art form dating back to 500 AD, used originally for the Buddhist temples and for the elaborate decoration of kimonos. Students of Japanese embroidery learn traditional methods and techniques for producing truly stunning works of art.  The course is for both beginners and intermediates. Beginners will make a start on their first piece, to be continued at home and completed at future courses.

This is a rare opportunity to improve your stitching skills with the Grand Master of Japanese embroidery visiting from Atlanta, Georgia, USA - leading centre outside of Japan.
