THE AVALON GROUP
(1st of five meetings)
The Mystery Tradition of Dion Fortune and Gareth Knight
The Avalon Group is an Esoteric Fraternity working in the Western Mystery Tradition. It offers a thorough and balanced training in the theory and practice of magic, a discipline described by Dion Fortune as “the art of causing changes in consciousness.”
Students of the group are individually supervised throughout a three-year course based on the Qabalist Tree of Life, regular meditation, and practical exercises in the use of the creative imagination. Students are guided towards a greater understanding of the objective reality of the forms and forces of the Inner planes of creation.
Meetings take place five times a year. Students need to apply individually for the Study Course and will need to show dedication and aptitude for this work before they can be invited to meetings. For further information please e-mail wendyberg@totalise.co.uk
Course Tutor: Wendy Berg has over 25 years experience in many aspects of the Western Mystery Tradition. Author of the forthcoming Red Tree White Tree: Faeries and Humans in Partnership and co-author of Polarity Magic: The Secret History of Western Religion, she studied with Gareth Knight and has worked alongside him for many years.
