The Yoga of Subtle Sound
Enjoy the experience of a yoga retreat, focusing on sound and silence. Nada Yoga teaches techniques which lead to an increasingly refined tuning of our perception and heightened awareness of our chakras, energising body and mind. Exploring sound, from gross to subtle, draws us closer to our highest potential.
During the course you will be introduced to Indian classical music, including ragas and talas (rhythm patterns). You will also learn practices to locate and sensitise your chakras, through posture work, mapping your body and breath, yoga nidra (deep relaxation), meditation, voice work, mantra and chanting.
By the end of the course participants should be able to:
Ÿ Be aware of the major resonating areas within the body
Ÿ Recognise at least one Indian music scale and rhythm pattern
Ÿ Sensitise chakras through musical notes and bija mantras
Ÿ Develop a practice of meditation through sound
For anyone with an interest in yoga, or music, or for anyone who simply wishes to relax and stimulate their creativity.
