If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the course for you.
We aim to explore Betjeman’s ‘passion for churches’ with film, prose and poetry as well as visiting some of the Gloucestershire churches he admired. These will include Holy Innocents at Highnam, Gloucester Cathedral (where a light lunch in the historic Parliament Room is planned) and All Saints, Uplands, in whose parish Hawkwood stands.
All Saints, an Edwardian Church designed by Temple Moore, is celebrating its centenary in 2010. The course includes an evening celebration at the church featuring music, drama and poetry to honour Temple Moore and the parish of Uplands – all within the context of ‘the bonus of laughter’!
