23 Apr 2012
Monday 23 April
Spirits of Place
with Fire Springs
storytelling concert
Hawkwood College
7.30pm doors. 8.00pm start.
Did you know monks could fly? That strange beasts lurk in the Forest of Dean? Or ancient gods and monsters dwelled on the Downs? A sparkling evening of tales from Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire by three of the regions' finest storytellers. Members of Fire Springs (regular performers at the Bath Literature Festival; Stroud's Story Cabaret, etc) Anthony Nanson, Kirsty Hartsiotis and Kevan Manwaring have scoured the counties for their collections of folk tales (published by The History Press). Whether a newcomer or a long-term resident, you'll never look at your neck of the woods in the same way again!
£8/6 conc.
