During this six-month course, you’ll be introduced to the Wild Soul Woman Archetypes of Desert Woman, Forest Woman, Ocean and River Woman, Mountain Woman, and Grassland Woman as aspects of your authenticity. Each embodies a stage of a rebirthing journey that will introduce you to your most instinctual self.
Session 1: The Map of the Journey
We’ll explore what archetypes are, how we respond to them, and then we’ll specifically look at the Wild Soul Woman Archetypes, our guides on this journey of profound creativity and rebirthing. We’ll also set the stage with an invitation to bring a dream or challenge to bear on the journey that lies ahead.
Session 2: Desert Woman: Barren Worlds
As Desert Woman you confront your barrenness—those places in your life where you no longer feel fertile or fruitful. This is a thorny way to begin a journey, and many would avoid of it. But barrenness is a natural part of the cycle of life. For it is in the owning of your inner emptiness, that you begin to make room for new ways of being. It is in the willingness to stop doing, that you come to realize the truth of your own soul.
Session 3: Forest Woman: The Dark Womb
Forest Woman heralds a fecund period, rich in imagination and exploration. In her womb-like darkness, you begin to plant the seeds of new dreams, of barely sensed possibilities. This is not the time for literalness or for urging your dreams into the light of day. You must wait until the seeds of your new life take hold in the depth of your being. This is a wildly creative but also deeply mysterious and introspective part of your journey.
Session 4: Ocean and River Woman: The Waters Break
As Ocean and River Woman you feel an urgency to express and experience what you incubated as Forest Woman. Immersed in this free-flowing, dynamic archetype, you feel a yearning to live from the depths of your heart in service of your deepest longings. Your emotions, like water building behind a dam, are set to break through any resistance, preparing you to birth your authentic and wild self into the world.
Session 5: Mountain Woman: Giving Birth
As Mountain Woman you are in touch with your inner agency, alive to your sacred dreams and desires, and ready to emerge into the world as an authentic, unstoppable force. This is your time to initiate a new project, find your voice, serve your community, spark a movement. You are transitioning from introspection to soul-guided action. You are a creatrix, ready to remake the map of the world.
Session 6: Grassland Woman: Nurturing the Newborn
As Grassland Woman your emboldened and enlarged sense of Self takes hold, roots, and flourishes back in community. You see with new eyes, weave with new hands, dance to the rhythms of nature. Your newborn self is still vulnerable—think of all the people who would have you return to your “old self”—but the Wild Soul Woman Archetypes are with you, keeping you true to the task of living and giving authentically and bravely.
Session 7: Integration and Commitment Ceremony
During the final session, you will return to the question or challenge that you started with on this journey and reflect upon what you have discovered and uncovered. You’ll also take part in a ceremony of commitment to living the truth of your Wild Soul Woman Self.
Our 2-hour monthly Zoom sessions are just the beginning. We will support and inspire you every step of the way, and every week of this program. In that spirit, throughout this archetypal journey, you will receive:
Weekly Writing Prompts: Between each session, Mary will provide writing prompts and other creative inspiration to help further your inquiries into each archetype. This will allow you to create a body of work that will stand as testament to the powerful shifts and leaps of consciousness you will experience throughout this program.
Accountability Groups: Should you choose to, you will join with a smaller group of sisters in a circle of support to share your process, your writing, and to fully receive the work and words of another.
One-to-One Witnessing: Should you choose to, you will work with one other participant so that you can bear witness to one another. Both the Accountability Groups and the One-to-One Witnessing will be established at the start of the course, and authentically develop through your own initiative.
Mighty Networks: You will have access to a Secret Community to share your own writing, read and connect with other members in the community.
Five Wild Soul Woman Music Mediations: These specially created musical meditations invite you to embody and embrace the archetypes through movement.
Two Zoom Community Calls: These are celebrations of community and learning, where you come together as a collective to share your journey and savour those of other women alongside you.
Video Interviews with Wild Soul Women: How do others experience the archetypes? What challenges them and what calls them forth? These in-depth conversations are designed to engage your imaginations and expand your vision of what’s possible.
Please Note: This course warmly welcomes cisgender women, transwomen, and genderfluid persons looking to explore their wild feminine side.
Throughout the course, you will be guided through seven modules. Each monthly Zoom session will be 2-hours long and recorded if you can’t make it live or wish to listen to it again. Zoom sessions will include smaller breakout groups where you can share your writings, observations, and inspirations.
