In these tumultuous times on the planet where we are navigating an influx of great change, we may believe that our clothing is just a commodity with function, performance and comfort at its core. What about the exciting prospect that our clothing holds meaning, is an extension of our self-expression and is an instant message to the world around us?
“Can you awaken from your stupor and remember a time when women dressed in utter celebration? Adorned in mystical wonder and each ware told a thousand tales?”
In the last century alone there has been a great governance over women’s style and what we wear. Women’s bodies have been colonised with many outdated stories. We are in a time now, where many are returning to the wealth of feminine literacy that lives through the language of our body and relates to our self-worth, self-expression and self-identity.
As much as fashion trends have moved at an exponential rate, meaning we really can wear anything we desire now, many of us are still subconsciously dressing to please and perform for the external gaze.
The true revelation of why we dress and how it feels have been completely stripped from the conversation, until now. This course poses the question: “Can we opt-in and be a part of the Powerful, Intrinsic Beauty that rests within us and wishes to beseen?”
