Facilitator: Diana Durham
This live online talk comprises a series of simple thought experiments looking through the windows of myth and archetype, Tibetan Buddhist thought and physicist David Bohm’s theory of the Implicate Order, to show how we can draw on our inner self to guide us as we negotiate our way through the challenges of our lives.

Coherence means ‘the condition of forming a unified whole’. We ourselves become a unified whole when our inner self and our ‘personality self’ are in relationship. Moreover, when this happens, our insights and ideas also become coherent.
Poet and author Diana Durham will also look at how the opposite plays out. When we are disconnected from our inner self, our thinking can become incoherent leading to confusion and other problems. This condition is symbolised in the Grail myth by the figure of the Wounded King who rules over a Wasteland Kingdom. The King’s Wound represents the disconnection from our inner self. The way to solve our problems—heal the wasteland—is to heal that wound of disconnection, so that our thought and creativity are freed up to synthesise fresh insight and solutions in harmony with our worlds.

In the early 1990’s she was among a grouping who began to explore dialogue and collective intelligence with the late theoretical physicist David Bohm. She is also a certified practitioner of ‘Attunement,’ a lifestyle and healing practice. In all her work, Diana draws on archetype and the natural world to explore why our deeper identity is the root of creativity and the visionary power of imagination. Both of which she believes are essential forces in the renewal of culture.Visit Tutor's Website
