Do you love playing the flute? Would you like to improve your flute skills in an encouraging and supportive environment? Elisabeth’s focus is on helping you to make real progress in your flute-playing journey. This intensive course includes flute choir, chamber music, and technique classes. There will also be movement sessions to deal with tension in your playing and the opportunity to work on issues around performance anxiety.

Practical Information

Please note that prices are listed per person. Residential options are fully inclusive with all meals provided. Non-residential options include suppers, lunches and all refreshments and exclude B&B.

Arrival and registration 4.00pm - 6.00pm. The course begins with supper together at 6.30pm and ends at 4.00pm on last day, with afternoon tea

Elisabeth Hobbs

Elisabeth Hobbs is an internationally-acclaimed flautist, teacher and ensemble director. She specialises in working with adult students through Flutes Inspired. She is editor of the flute magazine PAN, and is currently collaborating with Sir James Galway on his biography.

Elisabeth works in close collaboration with international soloist and former principal flute of the London Symphony Orchestra, Paul Edmund-Davies, on their Flute Feast courses in France and around the world. Elisabeth and Paul also perform together, with former LSO pianist John Alley, as Trio La Scala.
