So that we can make the most of our time together, the days will be full and long. The course will include guided meditative practices to set the tone of the work. Instruction will be given throughout the day in the form of lecture, demonstration and experiential learning. After dinner students will have the opportunity to both receive and participate in group sessions.

The course is open to absolute beginners; those who are curious about the gong, feel an affinity for the instrument and want to really connect with it at depth. The course teachings are rich and empowering. There is plenty of opportunity for practice and self-reflection. It is also ideal for therapists who are totally new to sound healing and/or those who might wish to combine sound healing to another alternative healing therapy. Finally, returning students and those who might know a little already but want to reinforce foundations for their practice also have an opportunity to review and improve on all basics and core elements for a professional approach.

The course is a wonderful opportunity to start your Gong journey in a small group setting. There will be plenty of opportunities for one to one time, feedback and question time with our expert teachers in the beautiful and supportive environment of Hawkwood.

Aidan Mcintyre

Aidan Mcintyre met the gong in 1993 and it was a transformational experience, to say the least. From that moment on he has dedicated his life to sharing his experience and research with the World at large. The Singing Bowls came into his life at that same time and they became an integral addition to his work with the Gong. From that first meeting, he and Don have become life-long friends and have travelled and worked together ever since.

Aidan is a generous teacher sharing his acquired wisdom. He also likes sharing his large collection of Gongs, Antique Singing Bowls and Conch shells, sharing their origins and uses in Sound Therapy. Don and Aidan together created the Gong Master Training Course which came to fruition in the UK and is now in its twenty-second year in 2018. They have taken this training around the world to Europe, Asia and both North and South America and Australia.. The UK GMT is a rare opportunity to receive the training from both Don and Aidan teaching together. When not on the road teaching, Aidan has a practice teaching individual students personally or via Skype and offers one-to-one gong therapy from his home in Gloucestershire.
