Facilitator: Lindsay McLeod
During this weekend retreat, bring yourself into relationship with the fluidity inherent in your body and its interaction with the world around it. You will develop the skills to hear your body at a cellular level; help us to engage with creating a real future. This retreat is suitable for all levels of experience and for anyone interested in the body. A great way to centre yourself and treat your body as sacred as we approach the Celtic New Year at Samhain.
Event time: Fri 20th Oct 2023 at 4:00pm - Sun 22nd Oct 2023 at 4:00pm
Starting on Friday evening we’ll begin our weekend adventure by relaxing and unwinding and beginning to listen in to the unique language of our bodies, followed by a good night’s dream-informed sleep.
On Saturday and Sunday, you have the option to begin each day with a walk in the grounds, meditation, or a lie-in, whatever your body is asking for in each moment. Delicious home-cooked meals and refreshments give rhythm and nourishment to the retreat.
Listen to a new language of body awareness as you tune in to the filaments of your fascia and the tingles in your mitochondrial spirals! Take time to find out what is stirring in you and resonating with the call of your most natural way of being. Come and find out what your own somatic wisdom is telling you, what you can hear from the voices of your totally unique tissue formations. Develop fluency in understanding how your body communicates through physical sensation and movement.
Body Harmony is one of the safest, most in-depth conversations you will ever have, led by the consent of your body. It can bring you a pleasurable sense of home and connection as an integral part of the universe. Continuum is the most integrated way of applying these same precepts to your own body. Its qualities are movement, fluidity, sound, stillness, nuance, curiosity and ease.
This weekend we have the opportunity to begin to re-learn how to live in a reciprocal relationship and return to our true place of belonging. A perfect start to a new cycle, helping us shapeshift in radical times.
This practice recognises that each person’s body stores memory and the intellectual and emotional responses attached to that memory
Works on the principle that your body has a unique pathway to finding the memory and unwinding the attached emotion
Uses a synthesis of breath, gravity, awareness, intention, movement, embodiment and responsive and attentive touch, involving an understanding of quantum physics, epigenetics and neural science
A journey of exploration; of the physical, mental, emotional, psychological and our energy as an integral part of the world’s energy.
