An Eco Series: Session 4

Facilitator: Mary Portas · Portas Agency & Alicia Carey · CEO Hawkwood

As a Centre for Future Thinking with an awareness of wellbeing, we felt it was only right that we put together a programme to inspire sustainable living in the home this winter.

Amongst immense pressure, change, uncertainty and chaos, we know that to give you the whole planet to think about is quite a thing. From our very own experience, we see small practical action to be what initiates big change.

This is session 4 of a 4-part series, delivered online via Zoom.

At Home with Mary Portas, in conversation with Alicia Carey

‘A kinder, more compassionate and interconnected way of living, buying and selling is not just wish fulfilment – it’s a commercial imperative’ – Portas Agency.

Mary Portas speaks with our CEO, Alicia Carey, in a personal interview about house, home and wellness. Bringing her business insights on how we collectively live down to the individual level, Mary speaks of the profound shifts in her own life – Covid and beyond – that forced her to reexamine how she lives and works and find a new way to blend family, home & business. She also examines how connecting more closely with nature has enabled her to sustain her sense of wellbeing through such uncertain times. This level of practical on-the-ground action is foundational to creating a healthy world.
