An online nature journaling workshop
Facilitator: Mary Reynolds Thompson
Nature journaling is a powerful tool to enliven your creativity and deepen your connection to the natural world. At this time, many of us feel disconnected from our normal lives, livelihoods and loved ones. This journaling practice can be transformative, re-wilding not only your language but your psyche and soul.

Nature journaling is ideal for those passionate about giving voice to the natural world. This course will teach you all you need to know about keeping a written nature journal to inspire and nourish you.
Whether you want to embark on nature writing for publication, or as personal growth, this course will transform your relationship to journaling and help you uncover your own writing voice.
From the moment we first gather, we shall start experimenting with different journaling techniques. You’ll learn how to find a more intimate connection to the earth and tap into the wisdom of nature. This will support your own path of transformation and provide solace in difficult times. You’ll learn which techniques to use, depending on your situation, mood and the impact you want to create.
There will be times during the sessions where we will write in our journal alone. We will then share our writing with each other. This is a powerful way to learn from each other as we witness how Mary’s techniques shape our language and our imaginations.
You will also learn one of the most important, and most neglected journal techniques. This will help you make the most of the gifts and wisdom of nature in an entirely new way. This is particularly helpful for eco-therapists and forest bathing guides looking to use nature journaling with clients.
