Event time: Sat 29th Jun at 9:30am - Sun 30th Jun at 5:00pm

  • Develop confidence in yourself as a painter

Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your painting skills, this class will help you become more confident in the art of watercolour painting. You will be encouraged to be open to new ways of working with this versatile medium. Julia will show you how to avoid the ‘wishy-washy’ watercolours and embrace bold colour, strong composition and the incorporation of story into your work. She will demonstrate some of her unique techniques and work with you individually to ensure you have understood the concept.

Julia teaches with humour and enthusiasm, helping each student tap into their own unique style. She believes that it is important to have fun while experimenting with art, but allowing mistakes to happen will foster learning and growth.  You will come away from the course with a toolbox of skills from which you can further develop your watercolour painting and a clearer idea of what is so wonderful about the medium!
