David Lovemore

David Lovemore started woodcarving in 1984 when he worked as a teacher with special needs students. The children responded better to woodcarving than other activities so he developed his own skills and soon became involved in training himself in the art of wood carving. This led to studying in Sussex at Hoathly Hill Sculpture Studio. He has a City & Guilds Woodcarving Diploma.

David has run Amber Sculpture Studio at Hawkwood for over 20 years, teaching people with many abilities and needs over the years. He also accepts commissions from diverse customers.
