The Vision of Albion

In his novel, That Hideous Strength, C.S. Lewis wrote: ‘Something we may call Britain is always haunted by something we may call Logres,’ and so it with Albion, one of the other ancient names for this island. The vision of Albion has not been forgotten: it lies beneath the construct we call Britain as an abiding myth that calls us to awake and remember the spiritual lore and heritage of our land.
